Long Time Sweeper

I found the world of sweepstakes back in 1994 on the Prodigy Hobby Board, before online sweepstakes really took off, even before AOl. Entry was mostly mail in. The first sweepstakes site I recall was Ralph’s Sweepstakes Page, very basic, one page site. I used to hunt for sweeps on Yahoo (before Google).

Brag Time

Entering sweepstakes has been rewarding over the years.First prize I ever won online was a pair of ski boots!  First mail in n prize was an Orangina refrigerator magnet.  I’ve won 10 trips (cruises, Disney World, Hollywood , Las Vegas and more),plus $10,000 cash, electronics, gift cards, computers, concerts, music, a gazillion t-shirts and caps.

Sweeping Buddies

Besides prizes, the sweepstaking hobby has also rewarded me with many good friends over the years. Sweepers are upbeat, positive and just great people. I’ve met many sweepstakers at the National Sweepstakes Conventions and through online sweepstakes forums. And I also belong to a local sweepstakes club, The Wolverine Winners, who hosted the 1997 National Sweepstakes convention in Dearborn, MI and publish a bi-monthly newsletter.

Sweepstakes Supplies

I also run the web site SweepstakeSupplies.com since 2001.  It’s a supply site for mail in entry sweepstakes. Available items are colorful, eye-catching envelopes, postcards and 3 1/2 x 5 cards. Oh and the prices are very affordable! You can also enter to win free envelopes.

Little More About Me….

Besides running web sites and giving out coke codes, I do have a life. I’m married to Jim , with 3 grown kids and 2 cockapoos.  I’m a  emergency room nurse working in a metropolitan  level II Trauma  center. So I see  my share of blood, guts, and all that good stuff. It takes alot to gross me out. :)

Cindy, I’ve learned more about you in the past ten minutes than in the many years I’ve known you. How widespread your online endeavors are, too. I’m enjoying this, especially since I’m no longer actively snailing … not only can’t attend any more conventions, can’t even attend local club meetings. With enough supplies for another 10 years of snailing, I’ve had to drop out completely. My wins now are all from onlines, mostly books with a few small (but appreciated) other things now and then.

Hi,
I’m Ralph from Ralph’s Sweepstakes Page. In a fit of nostalgia I Googled the name of my old sweepstakes page and your site came up. I haven’t been playing the sweepstakes game for years now but it’s nice to be remembered.

Happy Sweepstaking!

–Ralph

Hey it’s good to hear from you Ralph. Thanks for the sweepstakes page. You may have been the first sweepstakes site. Yahoo had a sweeepstakes category too. One really had to hunt to find good sweepstakes (before Google). Do you remember the Sunny D Scavenger Hunt, lol? People cleaned up on that one. I used to win alot of prizes back in 94-95. Not as many people were online, so not as much competition.
